Emergency Operations Group Active Threat Tabletop Exercise Registration

On October 10th, 11th, and 12th, the EOG will hold tabletop exercises that will focus on active threat response and recovery procedures.  These exercises will utilize the university’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), EOP Annexes, EOP Emergency Support Functions and related plans.  Portions of this exercise will be designed around lessons learned from the Umpqua Community College that we relayed to us during Krista Dillions Active Threat Seminar held on April 30th, 2018. Three sessions are being offered to accommodate EOG member schedules.  Each member of your unit’s EOG team should register for one session.  Units do not need to attend as a group.  All tabletop exercises will be held in the Emergency Operations Center, Police and Safety Headquarters Room 230.

  • Wednesday, October 10th, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.;
  • Thursday, October 11th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; or
  • Friday, October 12th, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This exercise will take approximately two hours.  Please come prepared with your laptop and other resources that you deem necessary to facilitate your unit’s response to a hypothetical active threat event.  Exercise materials will be made available in advance of the exercise.

If you have any questions or concerns about this exercise please contact David Farris, dfarris@gmu.edu (703) 993-2507.
